How booking works

Booking takes a form or a message. We match a scholar to your date and your community, then handle the travel.

  1. Request

Fill in the Google Form or message us on WhatsApp with your masjid, city, preferred date and the kind of visit.

  2. Match

We suggest a scholar who fits your topic, language and audience, and confirm the date with you.

  3. Arrange

We book the travel. You share the time of Jumuah or the halaqa and who to meet at the door.

  4. Visit

The scholar delivers the khutbah or halaqa, and the appeal if you asked for one.

  5. After

The honorarium and travel are settled, and we stay in touch for the next visit.

Reciting, teaching, purifying

Why we travel

Traveling Scholars of America exists for religious and educational purposes: to help scholars travel, and to spread authentic, sourced knowledge to Muslims across the country.

What each visit carries

Allah describes the Prophet ﷺ as one who recites His verses, teaches the Book and wisdom, and purifies (al-Baqarah 2:129). Every visit tries to carry those same four things to a new community.
